About Me

Monika is one of the better-known faces of the Bulgarian VR start-up ZenArt VR. As an energetic extrovert who is constantly looking to grow and meet new people, she has handled both Project Management and Narrative Design tasks at the firm while also representing them at several large events, such as Green Transition, Tuk-Tak Hive and charity streams.
She’s graduated from New York University’s Shanghai Campus with an Interactive Media Business Degree and a Creative Writing Minor. In her studies, her primary focus was on writing, Chinese, video game development & design, and marketing. Her Capstone (Graduation Project) was on the topic of “How can Specific Word Choice and Dialogue Create Real Feelings in Video Game Players?”
After taking writing courses for almost eight years, Monika finds it to be her favorite way of filling a person with emotions. This is expressed in her world-building skills as a dungeon master, where she interweaves the lore of over ten players into her world, as well as in her many short stories with which she aims to touch her readers.
My Experience:
Monika has interned in several companies over her summers growing up, including Philip Morris International, Trendo.bg, and Keen Home inc. She is quick to learn, positive, open-minded, driven, and a team player. Her tasks have included writing video game review articles, briefing creative companies on visual campaign designs, copywriting titles and slogans for fashion campaigns, and compiling weekly newsletters for her higher-ups.
Most recently she’s worked with Eskape2Play as a narrative designer on an upcoming update for the Hardship game and with Borislav Slavov as a lyricist. She continues her tenure as a journalist for Dir.bg— the biggest Bulgarian online media platform.
